Ellen began her career with Delaware CarePlan in 2002 – when the organization was still in its infancy – for what was supposed to be a temporary position. Over twenty years later, it seems it was not so temporary!

Before joining the organization, Ellen was employed in the corporate sector for 21 years with The DuPont Company/DuPont Pharmaceuticals. Her career in pharmaceuticals allowed for many valuable opportunities, as she held positions in public affairs as a communications specialist, speech writer, editor, and event planner; in sales as a senior cardiovascular sales specialist; in administration as assistant to the CEO; as well as enjoying an internship in marketing.

Now with her second career in the nonprofit world, Ellen finds her not-so-temporary home in a role that is both rewarding and an honor, as she assists families with the crucial and often overwhelming task of planning for their loved ones’ futures. Ellen collaborates closely with community stakeholders, attorneys, and disability advocates to ensure vulnerable individuals’ needs are met. She is inspired by her clients and community partners, and she is dedicated to driving meaningful change in the lives of those whom Delaware CarePlan serves.
